Team JESSA

The quiz starts at 9pm every Wednesday. It costs £1 per person to play the quiz and an extra 50p to play 'play ur cards right'. It starts with 20 questions, then we have a break for 10 minutes so quizzers can have a ciggie, get more drinks in, and have a sandwich which are supplied by us for anyone who has paid their £1 to play the quiz. Once everyone is back in from the cold then we play 'play ur cards right'. Its very similar to the gameshow on TV, where you start with a card and then try and determine wether the next card will be higher or lower. We pick 3 raffle tickets out which tells us who is going to playing. If no one wins then the prize fund rolls over to the next week. The prize fund stands at £40.50. Once all that is done we have the last 20 questions, then the teams swap sheets for answering.

The Winners receive all the money collected for playing the quiz.

Runners Up receive a round of drinks

Third Place receives a cake

Fun day 26th August 2007

The crowds loved the bungee run
Richard selling raffle tickets.
Ron was our head BBQ'er for the day.

We held a charity day for two charities. Our primary charity was The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation and the other was Unique which deals with chromosone disorders. We raised over £1000 of which £857 went to Roy Castle and the other £150 went to Unique.
We had live acts throughout the day starting with Steve O'connor, who played country & western and some modern stuff too. Karin Bello was The second act we had, she got the crowd up and dancing around with some great classics from Whitney Houston and Chaka Khan. The last act we had was a local band called Rock the Boat, they were great, LOUD and everybody enjoyed them.
One of our regulars Trevor enjoying the sun and real ale.
The Bungee run was a good way of raising money. WE had a lot of friends come and lend their services too us for the day, Ian is the good looking guy in the picture helping out with the bungee run.

Rachael and Jamie on the bungee run
PCSO Jane Millard locking children in the back of the police van. It was at the children's request, though some parents did askto keep them there.
A local magician came and done some fantastic magic for the kids(and adults). All of whom enjoyed that.
This is myself (Dave) & Debbie doing the auction with great prizes to bid for. A microlight flight, driving experience, leather office chair and karaoke system were amongst some of the prizes that were donated by local business's for a worthwhile cause.
Rock The Boat, a fantastic rock group who entertained the crowd for a good 2 hours.
